Privacy Policy

ProfilePilot ("we," "us," "our") manages Google Business Profiles for small businesses — weekly posts, review management, local SEO, and related services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal text.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your business name and the email address and basic profile info (like your name) from the Google account you sign in with.

Google Business Profile data. Once you connect your Google Business Profile, we access your profile details, business information, reviews, questions & answers, photos, and performance insights through Google's Business Profile API. This is what lets us actually do the job — write and publish posts, respond to reviews, and report on how your profile is performing.

Payment information. Billing is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe securely processes your payment and shares with us only what we need to manage your subscription, like whether it's active.

Usage information. Basic technical data about how you use your dashboard (like which pages you visit), used to help us improve the service and troubleshoot problems.

How we use your information

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information or your Google Business Profile data, ever. We share information only with the services that help us run ProfilePilot:

Google API Services User Data Policy

ProfilePilot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use your Google Business Profile data to provide and improve the features you've signed up for — never for advertising, and never to build unrelated products.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or disconnect your Google Business Profile, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep records — for example, billing history for tax purposes.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing hello@profilepilot.online. You can also disconnect your Google Business Profile or cancel your subscription any time from your dashboard.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure cloud infrastructure through Firebase and Google Cloud. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.

Children's privacy

ProfilePilot is a business tool intended for business owners and their staff. It's not directed at, and we don't knowingly collect information from, children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know directly.
